           Enota is in a lush valley among the highest mountains in North Georgia, in the shadow of Brasstown Bald!   All the delicate beauty of nature has been preserved, with four breathtaking waterfalls, five bubbling streams and two trout ponds.  We are surrounded on all sides by the mountains of the Chattahoochee National Forest.  Enota is the perfect mountain escape for you to spend your weeks, weekends and vacations with your friends and family.  We offer a wide range of accommodations including Cabins, Bed and Breakfast packages, RV sites with full hookups, tent camping, Tipi village, a retreat center for workshops and conferences, retreat housing for the budget conscious.  Enota is a non-profit organization committed to serving humanity. We are located in a lush valley among the highest mountains in North Georgia, in the shadow of Brasstown Bald (Georgia's highest point, elevation of 4734 ft ). 

         One of our streams flows from a beautiful two-stage waterfall that is over 225 feet tall while another cascades from an old stone dam that retains a small, clear pond; a perfect place to relax, reflect, and enjoy nature.  Paths from long ago wander about the Resort and into the forest. Follow one of the old logging trails (approx. 1.5 miles ) right up Clay Gap, on the Appalachian Trail which is just above Enota retreat.

         On a cold evening, drop by the beautiful old restored Lodge, enjoy a cup of hot cider, and share the warmth from the huge stone fireplace and relaxed atmosphere created by living so close to nature.  On a hot day, drop by to enjoy the cool refreshing flow of gentle waters and soothing ponds.  Get to know friends you've never met or spend quiet moments with loved ones!!

One of our recent letters from a happy Enota visitor:

Dear friends at Enota,

What a great time we had this week at your campground. The lodge was welcoming and great for games when it was raining outside. The large campsites with deck and picnic tables were lovely with the added attraction of the babbling brook in our "backyard." The kids were happy with the basketball pavilion, toys and 3 trampolines. Even our TV-aholic didn't have withdrawal symptoms since she was able to visit your TV room occasionally. I enjoyed waking up to a hot buffet breakfast with coffee on Sat. morning.

But most of all...the live, visiting, wild bear was the BEST! We loved the much anticipated show of the bear stealing trash from the campground trash bin. How scared and safe we felt at the same time! This is an experience my children and I will always remember.
